On paper: My main focus is serving the company I founded, Altus Jobs. We are a growing executive search firm based out just East of Downtown Orlando. We specialize in placement of Engineering Professionals in the Building Design & Construction industry nationwide.
But since when has what's on paper or title brought more value than a person's present day action?
Off paper: I am partered with a true example of a leader + a team of PIONEERS. We work smart to add value and to perpetuate win win situations for people who can embrace considering that next step for themselves & their families. Altus is our current vehicle to make a positive impact... We're at the ground floor of something that is going to be BIG.
One Stat: In our 5th full year of operating, we have directly contributed to nearly a thousand professionals' careers, connecting them with higher level jobs that are total to over $3M+ in cumulative annual income increases. That $ is only the icing on the cake in addition to advancements in title, career track, and preferential location.
We know what we're doing, and our vision for what we plan to accomplish is crystal clear.
Now: I am beginning a new chapter as I turn to the age of 30, and I'm thankful to have made it this far. We all know some that haven't, so every day is a blessing and opportunity. I have a sense of urgency that burns like a fire because none of us are guaranteed another day.
Looking back: I can say that being open minded and coachable goes a long way. I truly believe in having a "high risk, high reward" mindset. Therefore, I am not afraid to fail if that's what it takes to overcome and win. I failed a lot in my 20s and made some stupid choices. However, I made more good ones as a result. I learned the value of having fun along the journey.
In my spare time: I run, lift weights, and stay active in some sports. I am also a savvy card player and I compete in poker semi-professionally. In three years I have over 10 ranked finishes in recorded pro level poker tournaments, with my best one (for now) being a 3rd place finish in Daytona Beach for over $33,000 in 2014. Lately I haven't had as much time to play but I still invest in certain professionals who play for a living.
I put priority on traveling and partying with good family & friends. I hope to be able to give back and contribute to the success of future generations.

Saum's first national TV appearance came at a Poker Tournament Final Table in April 2014. This is after applying his mind in learning the game of poker only 18 months prior. He ranked in multiple tournaments since then as a side hobby playing alongside some of the best pros in the world. The moral: you can do anything you put your mind to!
